Hobbes

The Artist

Hobbes draws pretty pictures. Sometimes she does other stuff too. Eventually she will write herself a better bio than this, and it will get put here instead.

She has a DeviantArt account too, which is pretty cool.

Rabbi

The Sysadmin

rabbi at yourmometer dot com

Rabbi is a linguist at large, a dispatcher extraordinaire, and a geek in general. He likes to write, sketch, design, code, think, talk, learn, and organize. In his not-so-spare time, he runs a tabletop roleplaying game, helps run a LARP, and plays in a D&D game or so. Besides all that, he works at no less than 4 geeky Midwestern conventions a year. (If you see him, feel free to say hi!)

Rabbi likes cheese curds, sushi, sausages, and a good beer. He will talk your ear off about language (and almost anything else) if you let him. Though he sometimes wears a camo jacket, he is not in ROTC.

About The Site

Yourmometer is written with a PHP and MySQL backend that runs on Apache on an Ubuntu server. Yay for free and open source! The front end uses jQuery and jQuery UI, and the backend is eventually built on top of a pared-down subset of the Zend Framework.

Other than those libraries, the rest of the site is custom-written in white text on a black background just to showcase Yourmometer comics. It's not much, but it gets the job done.
